WHAT IS IT:
4160 - Parts Washer is designed to remove grease, oils, and other quick contaminants from surfaces. It is specifically developed to provide efficient and thorough cleaning while minimizing the risk of damage to the parts being cleaned.
WHAT IS IT USED FOR:
It removes dirt, grease, and grime from parts, preparing them for further use or assembly. Aerogreen 4160 can be used in ultrasonic degreasers, spray cabinet washers, agitating lifts, and standard parts washers. Before painting, the product cleans virtually all metals, including steel, aluminum & titanium. It is an ideal product for extensive batch cleaning and parts cleaning.
HOW IT WORKS:
It utilizes proprietary formulation to dissolve and break down contaminants on parts. The surfactants enhance the cleaning process by reducing surface tension and allowing the cleaner to penetrate small crevices. Mechanical agitation helps dislodge difficult contaminants, while temperature and dwell time can enhance cleaning efficiency.
APPLICATION GUIDELINES:
Hot Water Parts Washers:
Follow the equipment manufacturer's specified procedures.
Dilute Aerogreen 4160 with water as follows:
Light soils - 3-6%
Medium soils - 6-10%
Heavy soils - 10-15%.
Set the temperature to 140-190F.
Set the timer for the cleaning cycle as follows:
Light oils and greases - 5-10 min
Medium oils and greases - 10-20 min
Heavy oils and greases - 20-45 min.
*For intricate parts, add 10 minutes to the cycle.
Once the machine and solution have cooled, utilize oil skimmer to collect the separated oils from solution.
The daily pH reading should be no lower than 8.5. If the reading is lower than 8.5, the solution should be manually adjusted to the normal pH or using a proportioner. As new water is added, add the diluted solution one gallon at a time to make up for losses due to drag out and evaporation.
Rinse all parts, dry them with forced air, or wipe them with a clean cloth.
Cold Water Parts Washers:
Aerogreen 4160 is diluted with water as a parts cleaner in the same manner as solvent cleaners. The equipment manufacturers specify these processes. Heat is not required. The oil-splitting properties of Aerogreen 4160 provide an extended bath life compared to solvents.
Dilute 4:1 for light soils
Dilute 3:1 for medium soils
Dilute 2:1 for heavy soils.
USE IT WITH THE FOLLOWING:
- Parts Washer
- Spray Cabinets
- Ultrasonic
- Agitating Lifts
SAFETY/CAUTION:
Rubber gloves are recommended to prevent drying of the skin. Goggles are recommended to protect eyes if splashing is expected. When heated above 125 F, mechanical or local ventilation is required. When using products in steam cleaning and/or pressure washing applications, wear a rainsuit and boots to keep clothes dry. Harmful if swallowed. Avoid getting into the eyes. If contact occurs, flush with running water. If irritation persists, get medical attention. It may cause skin dryness with prolonged use; wash hands with cold water and apply hand lotion.
